Enjoy Kingston’s relaxing countryside at Holiday Country Manor. We are an 1840’s limestone manor located in Battersea, Ontario. We are only 15 minutes north of the 401 and 20 minutes from Kingston downtown.
Make yourself at home in one of the manor’s 22 rooms. They are clean and simple and made up with fresh linen. Rooms are single, double or queen with a European-style shared common bathroom setup. Some have a relaxing garden or creek view. Wi-Fi and parking is included. You will be welcomed with open arms. In the morning enjoy a delicious hot breakfast in our dining room or on our front verandah.
There is lots to do onsite indoors and out – the front yard, by the boat dock or in our many relaxing inside spaces. In the immediate surrounding area, there is a marina, local beach, nature hiking trails, biking trails, a nearby dam and endless beauty of nature and protected lake and marshland.
We are at Battersea Creek which opens up to pristine Loughborough Lake – excellent for fishing and has a myriad of crown islands you can enjoy. Kayaks, canoes and boats are available for rent onsite. Pontoon boats can be rented from nearby Loughborough Marina. Nature Conservancy nature trails are nicely marked and maintained for ease of new hikers.
Onsite as well we have a seasonal ice-cream parlour/ gift shop, a licensed lounge and dining room in the main building featuring a popular Sunday Brunch Buffet. A local restaurant/bar/ pub is a few steps away. For couples, solo adventurers, small and large groups, we will be able to accommodate you comfortably. For tourists or travellers, we are close to 1000 Islands and Gananoque. For commuters between Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, we are at the midpoint. For visitors to the many cottages and campsites, you can come and stay here and not need the long drive home after a long fun day. We look forward to offering you a great escape.
