This is one the most ruggedly picturesque routes. The loop starts in the town of Sydenham (fun fact: it was settled in the 1800s by the great-grandfather of actor Dan Ackroyd!)
As you pedal north along this route, you’ll pass through flat then gently rolling farmland — be prepared for a ride with some steep hills to climb. The hills and valleys of this loop make up part of the Canadian Shield full of granite outcroppings, forests, fields, and small lakes. You won’t want to miss the Holleford Crater, created over 500 million years ago and spanning an impressive 2.5 kilometres.
